Stop Praying for Permission to Stay
Prayer cannot be used to postpone a direction God has already made clear.

There is a form of prayer that sounds spiritual while functioning as delay. We ask for another sign, another confirmation, or a more comfortable sequence—not because the direction is unclear, but because obedience will cost us familiarity.
Abram received a command to go before receiving a complete map. God gave sufficient light for the first movement without satisfying every question about the journey. Faith was not proved by Abram’s ability to explain the destination. It was proved by his willingness to leave.
Continue praying, but change the prayer. Stop asking God to authorize staying where He has commanded movement. Ask for courage, wisdom, provision, and clean motives. Prayer should strengthen obedience, not negotiate against it.
