When Success Becomes the Wrong Direction
Popular demand can confirm visibility while quietly competing with the assignment.

Everyone was looking for Jesus. The ministry in Capernaum was visible, needed, and successful. Yet Jesus did not allow demand to redefine direction. Prayer clarified that popularity in one place could not cancel purpose in the next towns.
Failure is not the only force capable of trapping us. Success can make departure feel irresponsible. People may call the pivot abandonment because they benefited from the former expression. But need alone cannot determine assignment; no servant can answer every demand without leaving the Voice unheard.
Return to prayer before the crowd names your direction. Ask whether fruit has become a reason to remain or a confirmation that the work is complete enough to release. The right road is not always where the most people are calling your name.
