Strength Is Not the Source

Strength is a gift, but it is a dangerous god. The lion possesses power, instinct, speed, and teeth—yet Psalm 34 still imagines it hungry. Natural advantage can meet a season it cannot overpower.

Seeking God is not the rejection of ability. It is the refusal to confuse ability with source. Gifts are tools. Resources are temporary. Networks can disappear. The seeker remains oriented toward the One from whom wisdom and provision flow.

Use your strength, but do not worship it. The question is not merely whether you are powerful enough to hunt. The question is whether you know where the water is.
