Integrity Before the God Who Sees

Ecclesiastes 12:13–14

THE WORD

Ecclesiastes concludes that life is accountable to God. Hidden motives and private actions matter because public reputation cannot substitute for integrity.

Judgment should lead us toward reverence and repentance, but Christians read this truth alongside the gospel: justification is by grace through faith, and Christ bears condemnation for those who belong to Him. Grace does not erase accountability; it makes truthful return possible.

Private integrity is not the same as public exposure of every detail. Confession should be wise, safe, and proportionate. Abuse, crimes, threats, and danger require proper protection and lawful reporting; vulnerable people should not be pressured into unsafe disclosure.

Close the gap between public profession and private practice through confession, restitution, boundaries, accountability, and sustained change. The goal is not terror of being embarrassed but freedom to live truthfully before God.
