A shadow is evidence that light is present. It may follow you, but it cannot lead you unless you turn away from the light and begin taking direction from what is behind.
Grace does not erase responsibility; it breaks the past’s claim to sovereignty. The scar can remain as testimony without becoming identity. The chain can remain on the floor without remaining around the soul.
Walk forward. Let yesterday become wisdom rather than a warden. God’s new work does not require the permission of the chapter He has already closed.
