Draw From the Proven Source

Novelty can become a distraction when it convinces us that everything valuable must begin with us. Isaac reopened wells that had already sustained another generation. His labor was new, but the water was not.

Spiritual maturity honors inherited truth without becoming imprisoned by inherited methods. We do not worship the dirt around the well, and we do not abandon the water beneath it. We remove the obstruction and make the source accessible again.

The calling is not to manufacture revelation. It is to faithfully carry what God has already filled into the thirst of the present age.
