Be Rich Toward God

THE WORD

The rich man’s land produced abundantly, but his imagination contained only larger barns, personal ease, and a future secured without God or neighbor. Jesus exposes the poverty inside apparent success.

The problem is not planning, retirement, farming, or prudent storage. Joseph stored grain to preserve life. The issue is hoarding without gratitude, generosity, mortality, or responsibility to others.

Being rich toward God means receiving resources as stewardship: worship, justice, generosity, care for dependents, community investment, and readiness to face death without treating possessions as savior.
