FOUNDATIONAL READING · ESV
Isaiah 6:8
Read the complete passage slowly before entering the reflection. Let the biblical text govern every application that follows.THE WORD
Isaiah did not begin with a platform. He saw the holy LORD, confessed his uncleanness, received cleansing from the altar, and then heard the question: ‘Whom shall I send?’ Calling followed grace.
This passage does not mean every believer has the same public ministry or must accept every request. God’s assignments differ across seasons, gifts, health, caregiving, disability, work, and community responsibility. A faithful no can protect a more important yes.
Offer yourself without ego or guilt, then test the assignment through Scripture, wise counsel, competence, safety, and love of neighbor. The One who sends also forms, equips, and sometimes tells a servant to wait.
CONFRONTATION QUESTION
Where is God inviting willing service, and what testing or preparation does faithful obedience require?
FAITH RESPONSE
🙏🏿 LET US GO INTO THE THRONE ROOM OF GRACE AND MERCY.™
Prayer
Truth must become practice.
List one present responsibility and one possible new assignment. Seek counsel before deciding what your faithful yes should be.
