Paul calls the Corinthians infants because jealousy and strife still govern their community. Their problem is not limited information; it is undeveloped character. Spiritual age cannot be calculated by years in church, vocabulary, platform, or the number of sermons consumed.
The metaphor should not become a weapon for humiliating new believers, neurodivergent people, trauma survivors, or anyone learning at a different pace. Paul addresses concrete relational fruit. Maturity becomes visible in how power is handled, how conflict is repaired, how truth is received, and how love survives disagreement.
Growth needs nourishment, practice, patience, and community. Stop defending conduct merely because you possess knowledge. Ask whether your presence produces rivalry or peace, dependence on personalities or devotion to Christ. Information becomes maturity only when truth is embodied.
