FOUNDATIONAL READING · ESV
Isaiah 55:6–7
Read the complete passage slowly before entering the reflection. Let the biblical text govern every application that follows.THE WORD
Isaiah 55 offers free water, bread, covenant mercy, and pardon to people invited back from exile. Seeking the LORD is urgent because grace deserves response, not because preachers are authorized to invent a private deadline.
Scripture takes mortality and judgment seriously, yet fear-driven pressure can distort the invitation. God’s call is not a sales tactic. It is a summons to forsake wickedness, return to the LORD, and receive abundant compassion.
Respond today without speculating about tomorrow. If shame, depression, trauma, or crisis makes response difficult, ask a trustworthy person to walk with you. Urgency and gentleness can belong together.
CONFRONTATION QUESTION
What clear act of return have you kept postponing even though mercy is available now?

Truth must become practice.
Pray Isaiah 55:6–7 slowly and choose one concrete act that turns away from harm and toward God’s mercy.
