BIBLE JOURNEY · ROMANS

They Cannot Hear What We Refuse to Speak

STUDY 189Romans 10:14 · ESV

FOUNDATIONAL READING · ESV

Romans 10:14

Read the complete passage slowly before entering the reflection. Let the biblical text govern every application that follows.

THE WORD

Paul’s chain of questions joins calling, believing, hearing, preaching, and sending. The church has a real responsibility to announce Christ. Good intentions, private morality, and vague inspiration cannot replace a gospel that is actually spoken.

That responsibility must not become the cruel claim that one person’s eternal destiny rests solely on whether you performed a particular conversation. God is the Judge and Savior; the Spirit is at work beyond our sight. We are accountable for faithful witness, not granted control over another person’s response.

Speak clearly and respect agency. Listen to real questions, refuse manipulation, remain present after the invitation, and connect seekers to trustworthy community. Evangelism is not winning a religious argument; it is bearing honest witness to the One who sends, saves, and receives people by grace.

CONFRONTATION QUESTION

Who is within your ordinary reach but has received only hints about your faith rather than a clear, respectful account of Christ?

FAITH RESPONSE

I will carry the gospel faithfully without coercion, panic, or silence, trusting God with what only God can do.

🙏🏿 LET US GO INTO THE THRONE ROOM OF GRACE AND MERCY.™

Prayer

Lord of the harvest, send and steady Your witnesses. Give us clear words, patient listening, respect for every person, and confidence in the Spirit rather than manipulative pressure.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT

Truth must become practice.

Pray for one person, ask permission for a spiritual conversation, listen before speaking, and offer one clear next step without pressure.
