In the upper room Jesus answers Thomas by identifying Himself as the way, the truth, and the life. Christian faith confesses that access to the Father rests in the person and saving work of Jesus Christ.
Conviction does not authorize contempt, coercion, harassment, or misrepresentation of people from other religions or none. Jesus joined truth to self-giving love, and His followers must speak with gentleness, respect, clarity, and freedom from fear.
We do not save people by winning arguments. We bear witness, answer honestly, serve neighbors, pray, and trust the Spirit while honoring another person’s agency.
