Your Wound Has a Job
God did not erase His scars. He offered them. Your hidden wound helps no one; your surrendered wound becomes someone's doorway.

FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURE · ESV
“Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.””John 20:27 (ESV)
WISDOM WHISPERS™
“God did not erase His scars. He offered them. Your hidden wound helps no one; your surrendered wound becomes someone's doorway.”— Bishop W. F. Houston Jr.
Word StudyThe mark of a blow, an imprint, the impression left by a strike — the root of our word 'type.' Thomas asks to see the typos of the nails, the very dents the violence left. Christ kept His wounds because they had a job to do.
THE DEVOTION
The resurrected Christ kept His scars. ✨ Sit with that. He had a glorified body, able to pass through locked doors, yet He chose to carry the marks of His suffering into eternity. The wounds were not a flaw the resurrection failed to repair. They were kept on purpose — because they still had work to do.
And the work was this: Thomas's faith. The very doubt that could have destroyed Thomas was healed by the very wounds of Christ. The scar became the doorway. The typos of the nails became the proof that rescued a doubter. Jesus did not hide His hands. He extended them. 🙌🏿
You have spent years hiding the marks life left on you — the divorce, the betrayal, the failure, the loss you never talk about. But the Sugar-Free Gospel™ tells the truth without softening it: your hidden wound helps no one. Your surrendered wound becomes someone else's doorway to belief.
God is not asking you to pretend you were never wounded. 🔥 He is asking you to stop hiding your hands. The place you were struck is often the exact place He plans to use. The scar you are ashamed of may be the only proof a doubter will ever believe. Extend it.
🙏🏿 LET US GO INTO THE THRONE ROOM OF GRACE AND MERCY.™
